# Privacy Almost nothing is collected here, by design. This page says exactly what is and is not recorded when you read. ## What is recorded Pages here load privacy-first analytics ([Umami](https://umami.is/)). It records that a page was viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and what linked or referred you. That is the whole list. ## What is not - No cookies. - No fingerprinting of your browser or device. - No cross-site or cross-session tracking. - No personal data, and nothing tied to you as an individual. Because none of that happens, you will not see a consent banner. There is nothing to consent to. ## Why count at all I look at aggregate numbers for one reason: to learn which ideas are useful, so I can spend my time writing more of them. If you block analytics, that is fine.
